This game was initially submitted to Craftpix jam 2025-2 jam with the theme "Cute but dangerous". I fixed and tweaked it afterwards for the Game Off 2025 jam with the theme "waves". Both jams overlapped and the game versions submitted to each jam were fully developed within the jam period.

Spoilers There are two sections of the game after you go through the "Prologue" you will enable the second section "Retribution" in the main menu. The twist is that what was a "cute" turtle becomes a "dangerous" weapon of ocean reclamation. The controls are the same (just keep the action button pressed) but the gameplay changes significantly into an infinite runner/bullet-hell. Test your reflexes and compete with other players in an online leaderboard.

How to play:

In this game you play as a sea turtle. The oceans have become a deadly gauntlet. Industrial fishing, endless plastic pollution, and deep sea mining operations have transformed your home into a battlefield. Hunt for food, defend yourself against relentless threats, and survive as long as possible. This isn't just about survival, it's about reclaiming the ocean.

The 3 bars at the top-left represent your health (red), food (purple) and air (blue). Avoid obstacles to preserve your health. Food depletes over time as you move around. Eat jellyfish to replenish it. Air depletes over time, swim to the surface to replenish it. If you ran out of food or air you won't be able to perform certain movements and you will lose health over time. If your health reaches 0 you will die.

Controls:

Movement Use WASD or arrow keys to move.
ActionUse the left mouse button, space, or C to interact with the world.

Post-jam updates:

I have slightly tweaked the design of the prologue and I added some new visual effects here and there including waves in the surface of the water. Finally, I also made the turtle sprite turn around when moving left. I am making a few more tweaks here and there.
